  • What is EDDM?

Every Door Direct Marketing, or EDDM, is a mailing option that allows your business to reach potential customers without knowing their name or address.

  • What is NCOA?

NCOA (National Change Of Address) is a database program initiated by the USPS several decades ago. It has several purposes.

The first is to make the mail more deliverable by assuring the addresses are correct on targeted mail.  This is accomplished by collecting all records from those entities alerting the Post Office that they are permanently moving. They form one central database which is then distributed to approximately 20 licensees.

Anyone looking to send out a direct mailing and looking to get a presort discount must have their list passed through the NCOA list. The process will show all records where the recipient has moved.

This allows us to correct a client's database and assure their mail hits their target.

A second purpose is to speed up the mail by making it more efficient. The Post Office won't have to reroute mail to another address. This saves them time and money.

Finally, it is environmently correct. Less mail is thrown away in the trash because the mail can be delivered to the proper recipient.
